Grenfell Tower Foundation Climb

Volunteers teams from HFR Solutions & Humberside Fire & Rescue Service climb 24 sets of stairs - Collectively equivalent to climbing the height of Mount Everest for Grenfell Tower fundraiser

Volunteers from HFR Solutions CIC & Humberside Fire and Rescue will be climbing the stairs the size of Mount Everest in a fundraiser in aide of the Grenfell Tower foundation this Friday.

Where: British Steel - Scunthorpe
(Administration Block)

When: Friday 23rd June at 10am

How:
In partnership with British Steel, HFR Solutions CIC Blue Watch and other members of the on-site emergency services will don full fire fighting PPE including breathing apparatus and simulate the actions of our colleagues, carrying equipment across 24 floors (the height of the Grenfell Tower).

You will all be aware of the catastrophic fire within the Grenfell Tower block in London and the significant suffering and hardship this has caused to so many people.

Through the fantastic support from various local organisations, it is our intention to raise both awareness and funds for those who have suffered in this terrible tragedy and in addition show our solidarity with our colleagues in the London Fire Brigade and the other emergency services that attended the Grenfell tower incident last week.

In partnership with British Steel , HFR Solutions CIC Blue watch and other members of the onsite emergency services will don full fire fighting PPE including breathing apparatus and simulate the actions of our colleagues, carrying equipment across 24 floors (the height of the Grenfell Tower). In order to represent the enormity of the task faced by the crews who attended the scene and in some small way pay homage to their actions which helped save the life of so many people that night, the crews will collectively climb the height of Everest during the operation which is envisaged to last a minimum of six hours.

The team from HFR Solutions CIC will be joined by local authority fire crews from both Scunthorpe and Howden Fire Stations who will work with them to help in achieving this mammoth task and hopefully swell the sponsorship generated, all of which will be channelled directly to those affected by the incident.

HFR Solutions CIC have already pledged a donation to kick start the appeal. We would be enormously grateful for any support or contribution (no matter how large or small) you might wish to make which will assist in swelling the final figure all of which will be passed directly to those involved in the tragedy.
