Overview
The Combined GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) & Enhanced First Aid Refresher (EFAR) course is valid for two years and covers all elements of the GWO Advanced Rescue (ART) and GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFAR) refreshers modules. This five-day intensive program provides delegates with an increased level of rescue capabilities and first aid provision. Offshore teams are facing increased challenges and thus, the industry is placing a greater level of importance for offshore teams to be able to undertake advanced rescue and delver remote medicine. Delegates looking to undertake these modules must hold a valid GWO Working at Height, GWO First Aid and Manual Handling certificates, as well as providing a full medical fitness.

Learning Outcomes

Undertake advanced rescue capabilities from various areas of a wind turbine

Perform rescue operations in teams acting as the rescue team coordinator or as a single rescuer

Competency to rescue a colleague from the blade, spinner and hub within a wind turbine

Perform descending and ascending rescue operations from an enclosed space within a wind turbine to an assembly area (i.e. ground, transition piece of vessel)

The delivery of immediate enhanced first aid to stabalise a casualty

Understand the importance of carrying out basic and enhanced first aid safely by following local legislation
