The syllabus will introduce the delegates to new equipment, advanced techniques and a structured approach to rescue. It is suitable for onshore and offshore renewables and offshore wind personnel and the course is delivered by highly experienced professionals who hold vast expertise in rescue.

  • Work at Height legislation and exemptions for rescue
  • Appropriate selection, inspection & use of personal fall protection equipment
  • Planning, communications and implementation of rescue plans
  • Practical advanced rescue techniques, including the use of CRD (inverted)
  • Simulated rescues from the Hub, Sinner and Yaw sections of a Wind Turbine Generator
  • Use of hauling kits including the Petzl JAG haul system
  • Stretcher attendant scenarios and pick-off rescues of casualty in suspension.
  • Safe system of work for rescue operations including the safety of the rescue team and casualty
  • Appropriate selection & use of rescue equipment available on a Wind Turbine Generator, to carry out safe evacuation of a casualty from height, and restricted access areas.
  • Casualty care and packaging of casualty for WAH rescue
