Course Benefits

This course is designed to provide the delegate with the knowledge and understanding to work safely at height. They will have the skills to enable safe use of a full body harness, energy absorbing lanyards and work positioning lanyards. The delegate will understand the uses and limitations of work at height equipment and have an appreciation of the implications of an emergency situation.

Course Syllabus includes:

  • Legislation
  • Types of protection against falls from height
  • Types of access using personal fall protection equipment
  • Selection and types of personal fall protection equipment for fall arrest
  • Care, maintenance, inspection and disposal of personal fall protection equipment
  • Pre-use checks
  • Fitting and adjustment of personal fall protection equipment before climbing
  • Climbing and moving around structures
  • Rescue and considerations for incidents involving harness suspension
