Overview
The GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) course is valid for 2 years and provides delegates with the competency, skills and theoretical and practical knowledge to access and rescue an injured person. Within the 3 day course, delegates will learn best practice skills for delivering advanced rescue capabilities in a renewables environment. If you are wanting to book our GWO ART course we require the following documentation: full medical fitness, in-date GWO Basic Safety at Height, First Aid and Manual Handling certificates.

Learning Outcomes

Understand the importance of carrying out basic and enhanced first aid in a safe manner

Act as a leader in first aid circumstances

Administer safe, effective and immediate lifesaving and enhanced first aid measures to save lives and provide assistance in remote areas using advanced emergency equipment and medical tele-consultation

Prepare the casualty for transfer to a nominated evacuation/rescue point at the location

Request medical/rescue assistance by providing a concise and relevant report of the casualty's condition

The delivery of immediate enhanced first aid to stabilise a casualty
Syllabus
The GWO ART training combined modules aim to mitigate and control the risk associated with rescue operations undertaken in and from wind turbines to facilitate better emergency preparedness and response within the renewables industry. This course syllabus has been developed around risk assessments, industry-related accident and incident statistics during the installation phase as well as during the operations, service and maintenance for on wind turbine generators and wind power plants.
