Overview

The Management of Confined Spaces course is valid for 3 years and provides individuals with the skills and knowledge for managing work in a confined space environment and the ability to operate Safe Systems of Work under the Confined Space Regulations 1997.

Equipment

Essential equipment for confined space working should include:

  • Breathing apparatus (space sets/airline/SCBA)

  • Entry and exit logs

  • Portable lighting (intrinsically safe/ATEX approved)

  • Communications (radios)

  • Multi-gas monitors

  • PPE (helmet, gloves, harness, RPE etc)
