Delegates who already possess the GWO First Aid accreditation may find it beneficial upgrading their existing first aid capabilities and competencies and consider signing up to one of the new certified Enhanced GWO First Aid courses now available from HFR Solutions CIC.

The Enhanced GWO First Aid (EFA) Training Course will be delivered over three days, with the next course taking place between November 27th and 29th at our training facility in Hessle near Hull.

Contractors and those working offshore now face increased challenges where offshore health and safety and remote medical provision and response is concerned. This is due to longer medical response times for attending the scene of an incident and the need for an increased level of first aid provision and equipment.

There is also an increased level of risk, which means that the industry is now placing more importance on remote medicine, offshore teams being trained to an advanced level of first aid and more responsibilities to sustain life at an offshore and remote location.

This three-day course syllabus includes advanced airway management, burns, extremes of body temperature, medical emergencies, trauma, practical packaging skills, wounds and bleeding, resuscitation and more.

We also deliver the 2-Day GWO First Aid (EFAR) Refresher Training Course for delegates who already hold a valid GWO First Aid certificate and want to upgrade their skills.  The next course, also taking place at our training centre, will be held between December 5th and 6th.

The syllabus is the same, with the course focusing on key areas such as serious first aid and trauma incidents, increased response times and the ability to safely administer immediate enhanced first aid.
