Today is #WorldMentalHealthDay 🌍

Mental health is just as important as physical health, yet it is often overlooked or stigmatised. It affects our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and can impact our daily lives. Let's raise awareness and recognise the importance of mental health in our lives.

HFR Solutions have been working with YMCA Humber in Grimsby to develop and provide a training programme for their 18 members of staff.

The bespoke training package focused on mental health awareness, dealing with major bleeds, and conducting primary surveys. For many organisations, funding for training can be hard to come by and it was an honour for our Instructor Keith Evans to step in and assist such a great team. Throughout the sessions, the training also focused how to record actions during an emergency situation and the importance of carrying out a post-event debrief.

YMCA Humber is a youth charity that supports anyone over 16 years old who is at risk of homelessness. Alongside providing accommodation we also deliver services in health and wellbeing, support and advice and family support.

We are looking to continue our relationship with the YMCA and providing their staff with essential training to support their role.

By seeking help when needed and supporting those who may be struggling, we can create a society where mental health is prioritised and everyone can thrive. Let's break the silence and start the conversation about mental health today!
