Course Syllabus

Practical Assessments:

  • Missing Person Behaviour – Applying GRAMPIAN, iFind, Koester and other profiling datasets, including use of ‘SCENARIO’ as a framework to build effective search strategies.
  • Search Techniques – Practical use of critical spacing, assurance levels, and 360° search awareness, recognising the difference between simply ‘looking’ and actively ‘searching’.
  • Scenario Exercise – A full, scenario based assessment demonstrating understanding of search and rescue techniques, safeguarding, and safe operational practice during a missing person deployment.
