HFR Solutions recently hosted an enriching Experience Day for Year 5 students from Biggin Hill Primary School on November 5th, 2024, in collaboration with Hull & East Yorkshire (HEY) Children’s University, aimed at inspiring the next generation. Emphasising the belief that every child deserves to dream big, the event offered hands-on activities that nurtured essential life skills, including teamwork, problem-solving, and safety techniques.

HEY Children’s University is a charity dedicated to working with children growing up in disadvantaged areas of Hull and East Yorkshire who may not have the same opportunities as others. Their mission is to light up every path that a child could take and help create dreams for the future. They achieve this by providing experiences that broaden horizons and raise aspirations.

Students engaged in exciting tasks such as extinguishing fires, navigating the confined space crawl area, descending from height, and learning basic first aid—activities designed to spark interest in potential career paths in emergency services. The day began with informative discussions led by HFR Solutions employees, providing valuable insights into their professional lives, which left the children “buzzing” with enthusiasm on their journey home.
